AFP FIBRE FIX INDUSTRIAL PIPE REPAIR KIT is used in all industries where leakage occurs; including water pipelines, sludge & slurry pipelines, gas pipelines, oil pipelines, chemical pipelines, domestic pipes, drain pipes, etc.

AFP FIBRE FIX INDUSTRIAL PIPE REPAIR KIT
- Shut down damaged section and relieve all pressure. Abrade area and remove oil, grease and loose rust.
- Put on the latex gloves provided.
- Mix AFP STEEL PUTTY provided and press firmly into the crack, hole or void where/if required.
- Remove AFP FIBRE FIX bandage and immerse in water for 5-10 seconds. Squeeze out excess water.
- Apply AFP FIBRE FIX bandage to the pipe (or other repair) by firmly and tightly wrapping the bandage to at least 50mm past the damaged area on each side with 5-20 layers. Refer to page 2 for number of plies required, “Bandage Size Required: Pipe Diameter & PSI Rating”. Application time is ±2 minutes.
- Whilst wrapping, pressure must be applied to ensure that no air is trapped between the layers. Use hands to mould and squeeze the bandage, smoothing the area while the curing process is starting to take effect. Initially mould in the direction of the applied wrap. As the infused resin starts to cure bubbling will occur, continue to mould and rework the resin back into the bandage in a back and forth motion, applying pressure. Moulding needs to continue until the bandage is hard and no reaction is visible.
- The entire bandage must be used. - When sticky, water and/or oil can be applied for extra moulding.
- Bandage will get slightly hot while resin is activated
